Empty Products #28 (Travel edition)

Today I have a big empties post to share with you and since I've been travelling for a while again I made sure to also use up quite a few sample/travel sized items I've been hoarding in my stash.
First up some body care items. I've mentioned the Nuxe Melting Shower Gel with Almond and Orange Flower Petals several times before and it's definitely become one of my favourites. I love the texture and smooth feeling that it leaves on the skin, while it also smells heavenly. I will definitely repurchase it.
L'Occitane Ultra Rich Shower Cream with Shea Butter - a very lovely and creamy shower cream with the clean shea butter fragrance. It made the skin super soft and I would consider getting a full size.
L'Occitane Jasmin and Bergamot & The Vert and Bigarade shower gels - both of these felt lovely on the skin and had nice floral/refreshing fragrance, but they weren't particularly memorable, so I wouldn't repurchase.
L'Occitane Aromatherapy Relaxing Shower Gel - another wonderfully scented shower gel which reminded me of having a relaxing spa day when I was using it. I might repurchase.
I used up a couple body lotions/butters. I really enjoyed the light-textured floral Balea Sommerwonne body lotion that sank into the skin quickly, but wasn't as impressed by the Sundance Coconut lotion, which left a sticky feeling on the skin if I applied too much, but otherwise left it nicely hydrated and added a touch of sheen thanks to the tiny shimmery bits inside. I loved the Virgin Mojito body butter from The Body Shop, which was a perfect summery smell and despite the richer and creamier texture it never felt greasy or sticky when I used it in the summer. Out of the three I only wouldn't repurchase the Sundance one.
I also used up smaller sizes of L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream and Foot Cream, both of which I've used before and liked, but I would only repurchase the hand cream, since I feel like the foot cream doesn't add enough nourishment to my dry skin.
Caudalie Divine Legs added a luminous golden glow to my skin and I was impressed with the longevity on the skin - it didn't seem to fade at all throughout the day and didn't transfer to clothing, while it was also easily removed from the skin in the shower. I would be interested in trying more samples, but don't think I would use it enough to justify getting the full size.
I went through quite a few skincare items and there's several ones I would or have already repurchased. The Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser is an old favourite and is my go-to cleanser to use during the warmer months, since the tea tree scent adds a refreshing effect, but I also like having it around during colder months, since it cleanses the skin so well. I've already repurchased.
Melvita Damask Rose Floral Water - I liked using this in the mornings and evenings in the toner stage and also any time throughout the day when I felt like my skin needed some more hydration. I like that the fragrance is not overpowering and I've already repurchased the larger size.
Mizon Ultra Suboon Cream with Hyaluronic Acid - this has been my go-to moisturizer lately. It's really affordable and does everything I look for in a basic moisturizer, so I've already repurchased.
Sulwhasoo Snowise Ex Cleansing Foam - this is a really lovely high end cleanser and I love the soft cushiony foam it creates and the fact that it cleanses without stripping the skin. I have more samples to use up and I'm seriously considering getting the full size after.
Caudalie Instant Detox Mask - I really liked using this clay face mask and it reminded me of the Glamglow mask in white packaging. I would repurchase, but I need to downsize the mask stash I have at home already before I do.
Neutrogena Oil-free Eye Makeup Remover - this was a decent eye makeup remover and it worked well with both regular and waterproof mascara, but it did take some time for everything to come off completely. I liked that it never left my vision foggy and didn't feel oily like some other two-phased makeup removers. I wouldn't repurchase.
Avene Micellar Lotion Cleanser and Makeup Remover - this was a nice micellar water but it wasn't nearly as effective as Bioderma's Micellar Water or some others I've tried, especially when it comes to removing makeup from the eyes. I wouldn't repurchase.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream - I love this moisturizer and use it on my face and also any other dry patches on the body, because it feels calming and nourishing on the skin. I've already repurchased.
Chanel Hydra Beauty Cream - I was surprised by how much I liked this sample. It is quite heavy on the fragrance but provides a nice amount of hydration to the skin, without feeling greasy or heavy. I have another sample to use up.
Origins Modern Friction Facial Scrub - I really liked how creamy the base of this scrub was and the exfoliating bits weren't too small or too big. I used it once every two weeks or even less so it lasted for quite some time. It's a really nice product, just make sure you don't get it close to your eyes, because it burns like a mofo. I won't repurchase.
Eve Lom Cleansing Balm - I really liked this cleansing balm. It removed all traces of makeup really well and worked great with my skin, but it contains mineral oil, which is my main reason for not wanting to repurchase it.
Sephora Express Eye makeup Remover Wipe - these wipes were nice to remove eye makeup quickly, so great to use on the go, but nothing like using a regular oil cleanser/balm. I wouldn't repurchase.
Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst - I used this overnight mask sparingly so it lasted me for a decent amount of time and it also worked well with my skin, especially layered with other products. On it's own it felt a little lacking, so I'll think twice before I decide weather to repurchase or not.
Dr. Jart + Hydra Solution Sheet Mask - I bought a pack of these masks and only used one so far and really liked it. I mainly noticed major hydrating effects on my skin after using it and it also helped to make my skin more even toned, smooth and glowy by the morning. I will report back once I use up the rest of them to let you know if they're worth it.
Cosrx Holy Moly Snail Sheet Mask (x3) - I really like most Cosrx products I've used so far and these snail sheet masks are no different. The essence is thicker and there's plenty of it inside to use in the next morning or two. The sheet is made out of thicker material which doesn't make it as comfortable to use as some other masks, but I still liked them enough to repurchase.
Real Nature's Red Ginseng sheet mask was slightly unusual, because the essence it contained had a reddish tint to it, but it fortunately didn't translate to the skin. Other than that it was a pretty standard sheet mask, nicely hydrating with a rich creamy essence which had a brightening effect on my skin. I believe I have more to use up and would even consider repurchasing.
Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask with Hyaluronic Acid - I like these masks because the material is really thin and there's plenty of thin essence inside that I can use up in the following days. I find it mostly hydrating and would repurchase, since they're on the affordable side.
I've also used up two sunscreens. The Bioré UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ had a great formula, that wasn't greasy, lasted well on the skin and had some oil controlling properties on my oily skin, but it was unfortunately breaking me out, so I couldn't really use it on my face for extended periods of time. On the other hand the Sundance Ultra Sensitive Sun Fluid with SPF 50+, didn't cause me to break out, but the formula was quite greasy and applying makeup on top made it feel like it was going to melt off, especially in the hot weather. That's why I mainly used it on my neck, shoulders or chest, and it worked well for preventing sunburns. I wouldn't repurchase either of them.
The Sundance Self-tanning Cream had a lovely vanilla scent and it added a natural-looking bronziness to the skin. The texture felt light and moisturizing and I only needed a tiny bit for the whole face. It worked well with my skin and wasn't breaking me out, so I would consider grabbing another one next spring/summer.
L'Oreal Elseve Extraordinary Clay Purifying Shampoo worked really well with my hair. It is designed with oily roots and dry ends in mind, which is exactly my hair type, but I would have liked it to add a bit more volume to my hair. I've already repurchased.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Conditioner (sample x3) - I really liked this conditioner which made my hair super soft, less tangles, added a lovely fragrance to it and didn't weigh it down or make it greasy. I usually mainly reach for drugstore hair shampoos and conditioners but would consider getting a full size of this product (along with the matching shampoo).
L'Occitane Body & Strength 1-minute Intensive Care for fine and fragile hair (sample x3) - I finally used up these samples and as I've mentioned before I've never been a big fan of L'Occitane hair care products. This hair mask/conditioner actually didn't feel nourishing enough and left my hair slightly on the dry side, so I wouldn't consider getting a full size.
Nivea Repair & Targeted Care Conditioner for Dry, Stressed Hair (sample x3) - another unremarkable hair care product; it made the hair softer and less tangled, but so do most other drugstore conditioners I've tried so far. I won't be getting a full size.
L'Occitane Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo - this felt drying on my hair so I had to use a lot more conditioner and hair oil to keep my hair in it's usual condition, so I definitely wouldn't get a full size.
Verb Cleanse Volume Shampoo and Lift + Soften Volume Conditioner - this was a really nice duo that made my hair voluminous, soft and shiny and also had a terrific fragrance that lasted longer than usual in my hair. I would consider getting both in full size, but I believe this range is only sold in Sephora.
Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence - this leave-in conditioner and heat protectant spray was decent enough and it didn't weigh down my hair, but I was never a fan of it's fragrance. I wouldn't repurchase.
I also used up a couple makeup bits. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a staple in my makeup collection and I really like the formula for covering both undereyes and blemishes. Ideally it would come in another lighter shade, but the one currently available works well for me most of the year. I've already repurchased.
L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara has been my latest favourite mascara. It adds a lot of volume, along with some length and definition to the lashes and actually makes it seem like you're wearing falsies. After about two months it starts to dry down and the effect is no longer as impressive as before. I've already repurchased (and got another back up!).
The Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder has been my setting powder of choice for over a year and I love the velvety satin look and feel it adds to the skin, while it also controls my oiliness pretty well. I've already repurchased and got a bigger size.
Jolse Blotting Paper - these come as free samples with most orders from their website and I really like them. They remove oil and shiny look from the skin, but leave the makeup underneath intact. I have loads more to use up.

Have you tried any of the mentioned products before or recently used up a product you were really struggling to completely finish?
