Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink

When I was picking and choosing among lip products to get from Colourpop I also wanted to get a deeper but wearable everyday shade and blindly picked the one called Brink, since there weren't many swatches available. I only remember seeing positive reviews for the formula of these so I was hoping it wasn't going to be a complete failure once I tried it out.

Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink comes in a slim pencil-like white packaging with a removable lid and contains 1 g of product. It has a smooth, creamy formula that glides on the lips without tugging. The formula contains mango, avocado and shea butter along with vitamin E for added comfort, moisture and some nourishment. It has a subtle sweet vanilla fragrance which disappears shortly after being applied to the lips.

This shade comes in a matte formula, which has opaque coverage with one swipe. The formula doesn't feel heavy on the lips and despite having a matte finish it is comfortable even on my dry lips. When first applied there is a slight sheen visible on the lips, but as it dries it turns more matte, though not completely. It transfers slightly when drinking, but most of it stays on the lips and it also lasts pretty well through meals and fades evenly. The lasting power is around 6 hours.
The shade Brink is a terracotta rose, which is a super pretty deeper shade that works well with many different looks and I can see myself reaching for it year-round. It applies darker than what it looks like in the tube.

So far I've really liked every Colourpop product I've tried and this one is no different. The formula is comfortable, despite being a matte, and the shade is flattering and wearable, so I have no complaints. A wide range of Colourpop products is available from their website and you can find this Lippie Stix in Brink here.
