L'Occitane Immortelle Essential Water Toner

By chance (ahm, too much shopping at L'Occitane) I've collected a couple deluxe samples of the L'Occitane Immortelle Essential Water, so I thought I would feature this toner in a proper review.

The L'Occitane Immortelle Essential Water comes in a deep blue/purple plastic bottle with a spray dispenser and the full size contains 200 ml. I've gone through 3 or 4 of these smaller bottles so far, which contain 30 ml, so I feel like I've tried it more than enough times by now. This toner is transparent and the nozzle dispenses a fine enough mist, which can be a deal breaker for me. The product is alcohol-free, helps soothe, hydrate and smooth the skin and remove any last traces of makeup (if you use it with a cotton pad). It is formulated with the Immortelle flower water - a flower known as the everlasting flower, since it never fades, even after it has been picked, and hyaluronic acid.
Ingredients:
I mainly use it as a misting toner after cleansing and before applying any other skincare. I notice that it helps make the skin instantly feel softer, more hydrated, slightly plumper with an added glow. After spraying I lightly pat the skin, to help the toner absorb better and you can feel a very lightweight layer as it dries, which is not tacky or sticky but almost feels a touch bit oily, before it sinks in completely. The mist is refreshing enough to also use anytime during the day and it doesn't seem to impact my makeup wear. I'm not too keen about the fragrance though. It took me awhile to get used to it, but I still think it's way too heavy when I spray it, although it does go away quickly as it dries. I could see the scent being potentially irritating for someone with very sensitive skin.
I've grown to really like this toner despite the questionable scent, which some actually find pleasant. I notice it adding smoothness and hydration to my skin, especially now in winter, so I keep reaching for it. I've tried a couple other skincare items from L'Occitane before with some mixed results, but would totally recommend trying their wonderful cleansing oils: Peony Petal Cleansing OilImmortelle Oil Make-Up Remover and/or Shea Butter Cleansing Oil, while they are also a favourite of mine when it comes to pampering body care (Almond Milk Concentrate).
The L'Occitane Immortelle Essential Water Toner is available here (Slovenia), here or here online and in their stores around the world.
