Becca Glow on the Go - Shimmering Skin Perfectors in Moonstone (Pressed & Liquid)

I wasn't a big fan of highlighters until I first started using the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette and the glowy highlighter in there quickly became a favourite of mine. I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Becca highlighters so I quickly grabbed their LE Glow on the Go set featuring two products in the shade Moonstone when it was available for a short time.

The Glow on the Go set contains a Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight Wand, a liquid highlighter which contains 5 ml, and a Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed, a pressed powder highlighter which contains 2,4 g of product. They're both travel sized and contain more than enough product to try out, before splurging on full sizes. The packaging is made out of plastic, but sturdy and well made.

The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone is a high-impact highlighter with a reflective shine and contains ultra-fine, luminescent pearls that catch and reflect the light and amplify the skin's radiance. It looks stunning on the skin and depending on how much you apply (or the brush you use - I mainly love using this one) it either adds a more subtle natural glow or a very reflective sheen. It has a great staying power and I don't notice it fade much throughout the day (it definitely lasts for 9+ hours). The shade is a light champagne colour with a golden warm undertone and the powder is very finely milled, so it applies seamlessly and tends to look quite natural on the skin. The formula feels silky smooth to the touch.
The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight Wand in Moonstone has a fine light-reflecting formula that adds a natural looking radiance to the skin. It has a doe foot applicator and my preferred way of applying it, is to the skin directly with the applicator and then blending it out with my fingers for a seamless finish. I've tried using a brush and a sponge, but find that simply using fingers works best for me. You can also mix it into a moisturizer, primer or foundation. I sometimes wear it without foundation to add more radiance to my skin and it also applies smoothly without any patches over a foundation, as long as I don't set it with powder first. It also works if I apply it under a foundation, but in that case looks very natural. The shade has a slightly warmer and more golden undertone than the powder and wearing both layered together adds a really dewy, radiant and glowy look to the skin, that is also friendly for everyone wanting the high-points of their cheeks to 'beam'.

Between the two I prefer using the pressed powder version, but have been reaching for the liquid version quite often lately. A little goes a long way with both products and my powder has quite a dent already. Since trying it out, it has quickly become my favourite highlighter and I also like sweeping it across my lids or applying it to the inner-corners of my eyes. I can see myself buying a full size when I use it up.
