Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick Set (Fig, Pepper, Honeycomb and Nori)

Last fall I bought The Perfect Bite set of four mini Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks. All of the shades are also part of their permanent range and I thought it would be the perfect way to try out their formula and see if it would be worth getting them in full size as well. For this holiday season the brand came out with a similar set which features 3 different shades - besides Honeycomb they added Sugarcane, Rhubarb and Cayenne.
The Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Set comes with four lipsticks housed in a small red metal tin. Each mini lipstick contains 1,55 g of product. Their packaging feels similar to rubberized NARS packaging and is darker grey so it doesn't seem to collect dirt too badly. These mini lipsticks are actually pretty small and are perfect to use on the go and keep handy in the purse. The formula across all of the shades is very smooth, creamy, very pigmented and lasts a decent amount of time on the lips, without drying them out. I've never tried any of their lipstick formulas and was pleasantly surprised by it. The smell is sweet and not overwhelming and they even have a sweet taste (btw, all of their ingredients are food grade and basically good enough to eat). The shades included here are Fig, PepperHoneycomb and Nori
Fig is a medium pink with a satin finish. I was expecting this one to apply more muted, but it is pretty bright - nice for summer, but a little outside my comfort zone for everyday (unless I mix it with one of the other shades from the set or a darker lipliner). It has opaque coverage with one swipe and smooth creamy formula, but the shade seems to accentuate any dry patches on the lips and settles into lip lines after 2 hours of wear. It transfers slightly when drinking, stays on the lips through a bit of snacking and generally lasts for 4-5 hours on my lips.
Pepper is a warm muted medium plumy rose with a satin finish. It has opaque and even coverage on the lips in one swipe. It doesn't bleed, feel drying or settle into lips, but transfers when drinking. Within about one hour the finish again turns more matte, into a natural finish. It lasts between 5-6 hours on me.
Honeycomb is a warm peachy beige with a satin finish. It is the lightest one in the set, and as it dries on the lips the finish looses it's sheen and becomes more matte – still not a 'true' matte. It transfers when drinking, but most of it still stays on the lips, and it also doesn't last all that well on the lips through meals. It is not drying and last around 4 hours on me and fades pretty evenly.
Nori is a dark vampy burgundy shade with a slight sheen. It has a creamy texture that glides on the lips smoothly and mostly has opaque coverage in one swipe, but can look a bit patchy, so I prefer applying it as a stain and then going over with another coat of lipstick. For more precision I like to apply it with a lip brush (especially around the lip lines). If my lips are not in perfect condition it can slightly cling to dry patches and also settle into lip lines. It doesn't feel particularly hydrating or drying and lasts for 5-6 hours on my lips. It tends to wear off patchy if my lips are not in the best shape and stains the lips with a pretty berry shade.

Comparison swatches with some other lipsticks in my collection:
I really like this set and keep reaching for the shades Honeycomb and Pepper, which I would definitely consider getting in full sizes after I use them up. I think this is a great way to try the formula, which the brand seems to keep consistent with their standard sizes - the lipsticks are creamy, non-drying, opaque and have a nice staying power and they've become a formula I keep reaching for when I'm getting ready in a hurry or just can't decide what to wear on the lips that day. Bite Beauty have a range of interesting everyday shades available in this formula as well as some other more fun and unusual colors.
This year's set is available here online and you can also shop for individual shades here.
