Even though my body generally tans pretty easily I only get more freckles on my face with sun exposure. With wearing a sufficient amount of SPF you will drastically reduce sunspots and aging of the skin, but I can't get used to the contrast between my white face and slightly less white body and still want to wear SPF on my face regularly, so I've been using the Sun Dance Facial Self-tanning Cream to make the transition less noticeable. The Sun Dance Facial Self-tanning Cream comes in a tube and contains 75 ml of product. The cream has a slight yellow tint, but applies transparent on the skin, so you have to be somewhat careful not to apply it to an area twice. The product has a soft sweet vanilla scent which is obviously trying to cover up the scent of self tanner. The scent lingers around for a good hour even after the product is applied to the skin. I've had my tube since last year and the scent hasn't changed much and I've also only used a fraction of the tube.
Like any self tanner you want to apply it onto clean and exfoliated skin, so there are no dry patches, which it would cling to and make them darker. For my face and neck I use less than a pea sized amount and I find it to be the perfect amount to add some natural color overnight. I apply it to my skin in the evening and when I wake up it can look a bit yellow, but as soon as I wash my face it looks a lot more natural and the skin has a sun kissed appearance. I usually apply it every third day, to keep the tanned look, but for a more visible tan, you would want to apply more often, because it is not the most long-lasting on the skin. If you're planning on trying it, I suggest starting with a small amount and adding more the next day, if you don't notice much of a change. It doesn't irritate my skin or cause breakouts on me and actually feels surprisingly moisturizing, so I never wake up with skin that feels dry and tight. After application you have to wash your hands or else the product could easily stain them.
For the price this is a very decent product and I also purchased the self-tanning toner from them, which I'll be trying next.
