With winter, skin on my body (and especially my legs) usually becomes dry, which can be a problem. I try using richer body lotions and butters to help with the issue. One of the products that is a must year-round for me is a scrub and now that I think of it I've only been using oil-infused scrubs lately (Garnier Oil Beauty Oil-Infused Nourishing Scrub and Afrodita 100% SPA - Sugar Scrub) that help nourish the skin during and after exfoliation.
The Melvita Apicosma Body Ultra-Nourishing Scrub* was made with dry skin in-mind and it contains a mixture of three honeys, argan nut powder, beeswax and shea butter. Honey proves to be a gentle nourishing ingredient, while beeswax and shea butter form a moisturizing and protective layer on the skin that remains there even after rinsing (similar to Afrodita's 100% SPA - Sugar Scrub, but the effect isn't greasy). Small bits from the argan powder aren't too small or too harsh and do a great job at exfoliating and removing dead skin cells. The packaging contains 150 g of product which easily last for a couple of months with using once a week (it's not too harsh so you could also use it more often). It comes in a plastic jar with a golden lid and I feel like they could use a slightly thicker packaging.
The texture is very creamy and rich. It has a quite strong scent of argan oil (which is not my favourite) along with a mix of sweet fruits. You massage it into the skin and rinse off to reveal skin's radiance and velvety softness thanks to the buffing grains inside. After rinsing the scent stays on the skin for a couple of hours, while the skin remains soft and moisturized until the next day.
On the skin:
It feels like a nice treat for the skin and can be purchased here and in different locations around Slovenia.
