L`Occitane x Pierre Hermé Paris - Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Hand Cream and Miel Mandarine Lip Balm

Last month I was invited to a L'Occitane event put on by their Slovenian team and after the event we received a goody bag filled with items from their collaboration with Pierre Hermé Paris. I already wrote a post about it, featuring some gifting ideas from the brand and today I have two reviews ready for two items from their Holiday collection: Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Hand Cream* and Miel Mandarine Lip Balm*.

The collaboration between two brands features product within three scent families: Pamplemousse Rhubarbe (grapefruit and rhubarb), Jasmin Immortelle Neroli (jasmine, immortelle and neroli) and Miel Mandarine (honey and mandarin), inspired by nature's gifts on the island Corsica and Mediterranean landscape, as well as secret and unexpected gourmet ingredient combinations.
The Miel Mandarine Lip Balm comes in pretty standard packaging for a lip balm, but the details on it make it distinguishable from the rest - both brand names are featured on it, as well as subtle drawing print of mandarines. It contains 12 ml of product and has a slight orange tint to it, but appears transparent on the lips. The formula is enriched with shea butter which helps to nourish and protect the skin in the harsh winter weather. It adds glossiness to the lips and has a very faint orange/mandarine scent and sweet taste. Even if you're super sensitive to scents you should be fine with using this one. It doesn't feel sticky on the lips and needs to be reapplied during the day.
The star of any L'Occitane collection are from my experience always their hand creams. Weather you're looking at their classic Shea Butter or Almond Collections or something from a limited edition, I find that their hand creams always feature the same fragrance and can be a great sampler to see if you really like the scent before committing to a body lotion or Eau de Toilette from the same line. The Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Hand Cream comes in a small tube, containing 30 ml of product and featuring white grapefruit drawing prints. The formula is enriched with shea butter which helps to soften the skin on your hands while the fragrance is uplifting and vibrantly zesty from grapefruit that is not too sharp and is pretty sweet. Mixed with Rhubarb and warm spices this is a slightly unusual winter scent that has the ability to transport you in spirit to the Mediterranean landscape within second of applying. The formula is really light and sinks into the skin quickly while the scent stays on for hours. I will probably keep mine to use in the spring, because the scent is slightly too fruity for my taste to use in the winter time, when I prefer warmer, woody and spicy scents.
I often turn to L'Occitane for gift ideas and they have a large array of gift sets or small stocking ideas available this year. The selection varies from country to country and there are also items you can only find online or in-store. If you'd like to try items from their new collection you can get the Pamplemousse Rhubarbe or Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli Hugs & Kisses duo (Grapefruit Rhubarb/Jasmin Immortelle Neroli  Hand Cream and Lip Balm) or Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Voyage Set (Hand Cream, Lip Balm and Perfumed Soap) as well as a selection of other body care items.
Omenjeni in številni drugi izdelki in seti so na voljo tudi na slovenski spletni strani L'Occitane in v njihovih trgovinah.
