I love a good neutral eyeshadow palette. A couple of weeks ago I received the Luxe Lilacs Smokey Eye Drama Kit and really liked the quality of the quad, but since lilac and violet shades aren't really a regular feature on my eyelids I decided to buy another 'more wearable' color variety from the launch.
The Opulent Nudes Quad features 4 neutral/cool eyeshadows. They are soft to the touch and slightly powdery, so it's best if you tap the brush before applying the eyeshadow to the eyes. There is also a sponge tip applicator added that is useful for packing on color, but these eyeshadows are still blended the easiest when using a brush. I tend to used them with a primer for better wear and color pay off (they last all day with the UD Primer Potion), but even without one, I get decent 6 hours of wear on my hooded and usually oily lids.
All the eyeshadows inside perform well, except for the bronzed shimmery shade. It swatches beautifully, but on the eyes it needs a lot of building for the color to actually show up, and even then the pay off is medium at best with quite some fall out - unless I use the sponge applicator. The first shade is a light pink skin tone with some flecks of shimmer here and there, great for all over the lid. The last two shades (medium taupe and almost black brown) are matte, pigmented and easy to blend. This quad can be used for a variety of different looks. It can easily go dark and very smokey, but it's also really appropriate for creating naturally defined looks for everyday wear at the office.
You can currently get this quad at dm in Slovenia with the - 30% coupon, and there are three other color varieties available (including Luxe Lilacs).
These quads are also available online from Boots.
