I never thought a simple cleanser could make such a difference in the overall appearance of the skin. In a way this is true, because you wash it off so quickly it barely has anytime to affect it, but this Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser has proved me wrong while I've been using it in the past couple of months. I first used a small sample and before I was even done with it, I quickly decided to get a bigger size, I was so impressed by it.

It's been a while since I've reached for more products from Slovenian brands, but it's been a more occurring thing in the past year or so. I remember using some skin care items in the past (in elementary/early high school if my memory serves me well) and it was a really bad experience at the time, so I unduly made an assumption that they were all the same. That is until I came across the Sugar Scrub from the Afrodita 100% SPA line last winter and fell completely in love with it and consequently decided to get a couple more items from this line.

For a long time I preferred using mineral foundations over liquid ones, because of their natural skin-like finish. This Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet foundation sparked my interest since it promises a velvety, semi-matte finish, and has become the first traditional type foundation that I actually enjoy using.

Before Fall officially begins I have another review ready for a product that has been a staple for me in the past sunny months. I feel like I often forget to apply sun protection to my lips so having a transparent lip balm with added SPF handy in the purse is a great way to remind myself to use it. The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment is available in several tinted versions, but today I have the untinted version ready for review.

With summer coming to its end you shouldn't completely forget about sun protection. The sun-rays might not be as strong in some parts of the world this time of the year, but they're still harmful for the skin. At the beginning of summer I was using a 'mattifying fluid' from Sun Dance with SPF 30 (dm brand product) and I was very unimpressed by it's mattifying claims so I was on a hunt for a better sunscreen that wouldn't feel heavy on the skin and wouldn't make other products I applied over just slip off. I decided to try the Vichy Idéal Soleil SPF50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch. I was deciding between the SPF30 and SPF50 versions and chose the latter, because it doesn't contain alcohol.

I reviewed the first Eye'Matic Eyepowder Pen in 040 - Keep Calm and Love This Colour a couple of weeks ago, and since I wasn't super impressed by the formula and staying power, these have been left aside and barely used. Then I figured I could improve the wear by applying a base eyeshadow over primer to help with longevity and it kind of works.

This months empties are pretty epic. I’ve accumulated a bunch of products since I last posted about empties in July and in the time that took me to write this, I already have a bunch of new products ready for next month’s post.

I don't review fragrances too often, simply because they are such a personal item. I often browse online for scents with similar notes to perfumes I like, but when I try them out at the shop they can often turn out completely opposite from what you'd expect from the description. I often base my decision to try a new scent simply based on the bottle, which was also the case with Daisy Dream from Marc Jacobs.

As I was searching for an alternative to Bioderma's Micellar Water I came across Yves Rocher's Hydrating Micellar Water. I've never tried anything from them before and thought trying their Micellar Water (and a couple of body care items) would be a nice place to start.
