Topshop 'Golden Aura' Smokey Eye Palette

Although I've only tried a couple of items from the Topshop Beauty range I feel like the whole line is still pretty underrated. The price point is affordable and the quality is better than some of the products you'd normally find at the drugstore. And since we're all familiar with my neutral-taupe-bronzy eyeshadow hunt (obsession) these were the hues I went for, when I decided to pick up one of their Eyeshadow Palettes - in Golden Aura.

The packaging on the Topshop Golden Aura Smokey Eye Palette is matte black and to the touch it feels similar to Nars. On the cover there are cute white dots that would probably make this popular with teenagers. Once you open the palette there is a decent sized mirror inside, along with a sponge applicator (that I ditched) and four eyeshadows, containing 8 g/0.28 oz. of product. Sleek and perfect for travelling.
Eyeshadows inside are also really nice and perfect for creating a shimmery bronze smoky eye. They feel soft to the touch and aren't powdery. There's no fallout and staying power is around 6-7 hours, which can easily be extended using a primer. They are easy to blend and work with on the eyes. The palette also comes with a small pamphlet that leads you through steps of creating a smokey eye.

Swatches L-R: dark brown that looks more satiny than shimmery/medium brown bronze/taupe (this is a great all over the lid shade if you only want to wear one color; it looks more silver here, but IRL it looks closer to the color in the pan/frosty light pink shimmery highlighter.
For the price point I feel like this is a very decent palette. It doesn't offer anything groundbreaking in the shade selection but if you're looking for a portable and convenient shimmery eyeshadow palette this one easily fits the bill. I feel like the palette is geared more towards people who are new to make up, but could easily find a place in other collections as well (it's worth getting for the two middle shades alone). If you're into something more colorful, Topshop also makes this palette in blue called Atlantis.
You can get it from FeelUnique/John Lewis/Topshop.
